Navy Department Awards Web Service (NDAWS)

Find information on the new submission procedures, GWOT-EM eligibility, the electronic 1650/3 form and recent NAVADMIN messages relating to awards on the improved NDAWS Website.

You can view personal awards credited to your name by entering your name and last four of your SSN. A tabulation of awards and dates that you can cut and paste directly into Block 19 on the 1650/3 form showing all past awards is also available.

Unit Awards gives you Approved Unit Awards or Query Unit Awards to find out if you have received all unit and service awards earned by the commands you were attached to.

There is a section dedicated to Veterans to help veterans and their families find the information they are seeking about awards and answer questions they may have.

The site contains many forms, such as the new 1650/3 form and the Military Record Request form SF 180 if you are trying to get portions of your record that have already been sent to the national Personnel Records in St. Louis, MO.

Updating Awards

If personal awards are missing from your OSR (ESR) and/or official record, mail issuing citation (with SSN in upper right corner) to:

Commander Navy Reserve Forces Command
Command Services (Awards N013)
4400 Dauphine Street
New Orleans, LA 70146-5100

CNRFC will update NDAWS and forward the citation to NPC for record update. To verify data entry once submitted to CNRFC see the following.

Many more questions about Personal Awards can be found in the FAQs section.

I am eligible for the National Defense Medal. It seems the authorization came after I got out. How do I apply?
