Proposed Constitutional Changes
Dear AUSN Members:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that revisions to the Association of the United States Navy (AUSN) Constitution have been proposed to: (1) provide you with a copy of proposed revisions; (2) give you some background regarding the proposed changes.
Background AUSN Constitution and By-Laws Committee reviewed and proposed the following changes to the Constitution. Proposed changes were reviewed and approved by AUSN Board of Directors; however, a majority vote of members present at the next Annual Business Meeting is required before the changes can be implemented.
The main purpose for the revisions is to update the Constitution so that they accurately reflect practices that are already being followed. The proposed changes are tracked as follows:

We are following the amended process for updating the Constitution, which are as follows.
1. Publish proposed changes to all members along with advanced notification that a vote will be held at the next annual meeting. 2. Membership vote will be held during AUSN’s Annual Business Meeting on October, 20th 2016. A majority vote of the members present during the meeting is required to pass the amendments.
