Members of AUSN’s Board and AUSN Chapter Presidents paid a visit to Walter Reed National Medical Center on Nov. 14.
They toured the Navy Wounded Warrior Training Facility and observed a volleyball match. The visit lasted for about two hours.
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, located in Bethesda, Md., is one of the most prominent military medical centers in the country and has served numerous presidents. It has more than 2.4 million square feet of clinical space and serves more than 1 million beneficiaries each year.
The trip was part of AUSN’s annual meeting at headquarters in Alexandria, Va. The annual meeting is an opportunity for Board Members and Chapter Presidents to meet and discuss plans and goals for the organization for the upcoming year.
