“Today I am announcing a new initiative that will provide AUSN representation in each state, as well as important networking opportunities with elected officials at all levels of government, and potential corporate donors and sponsors for the AUSN,” said AUSN Executive Director Steve Rogers.
This new initiative, the Executive Director’s Advisory Board, will be comprised of two AUSN members from each state interested in volunteering to be our representatives who will network and interact with U.S. senators, their state office of Veterans Affairs, local municipal government officials, corporate leaders, and public and private organizations.
The members of the Advisory Board will meet once every quarter via Zoom, to discuss a number of issues affecting the Navy and the AUSN, and provide a report to the AUSN Board of Directors for review and further action on important issues if necessary.
“As we move forward, we must be committed to an all-hands-on-deck approach to the challenges we as an organization, Navy, and nation will be facing in the years to come,” Rogers said.
AUSN members interested in joining the Advisory Board, please contact AUSN Executive Director Steve Rogers with your interest and if you have any questions.
The launch date is April 2025, if not sooner.
