Updated: Oct 17

On June 23rd, Steve Rogers represented the Association of the U.S. Navy (AUSN) at the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets (NSCC) Graduation, Awards, and Promotions of the George Washington Division in the Bronx, New York. Rogers addressed the parents and Sea Cadets sharing with them that they are the future of America and can count on AUSN’s support.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a national, nonprofit youth leadership development program jointly sponsored by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard since 1958. The nonprofit offers middle and high school youth valuable experiences in seamanship, sailing, aviation, security, robotics, medicine, SCUBA, STEM, submarines, photography, special forces training, culinary science, and an international exchange program.

The George Washington Unit is headquartered at Fort Schuyler and the State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime. One of about 400 units across the United States, the George Washington Unit trains Sea Cadets from New York City and Westchester, New York. Midshipmen from the college’s Naval ROTC program also work with the Sea Cadets.

The Sea Cadet Corps builds leaders of character with hands-on and experiential training in partnership with the Navy, Coast Guard, and its many partners, including AUSN.
