AUSN Mobilizes Support for Texans Impacted by Devastating July 4th Flooding
ALEXANDRIA, VA – July 12, 2025 – The Association of the United States Navy (AUSN) is mobilizing its members in response to the catastrophic flooding that struck the Texas Hill Country over the July 4th weekend, causing widespread destruction, displacing families and claiming lives.
AUSN members based in Texas are already engaged in emergency search, rescue and recovery operations. Furthering these efforts, AUSN is now calling on members across the country — particularly those experienced in emergency operations — to join the response team on the ground.
In addition to critical emergency response, AUSN also is seeking volunteers to assist with non-emergency recovery work. This includes administrative support, clean-up and debris removal, and the distribution of essential supplies such as food, water and other provisions to those in need.
“Through their military service, our members have gained the training, experience and discipline that are invaluable assets in a time of disaster,” said Steven Rogers, Executive Director of AUSN. “Whether on active duty, in the reserves, or retired, coming to the aid of those in need during a crisis is ingrained in who we are as an organization and as individuals.”
AUSN encourages service members and veterans from across the country to contribute however they can—whether through volunteering onsite or supporting the recovery efforts remotely.
