28 Outstanding Undergraduates Receive Scholarships from AUSN for the 2024 Academic Year

Updated: Oct 17

In celebration of academic excellence and dedication to higher education, the Association of the U.S. Navy (AUSN) has awarded 28 scholarships to outstanding sons, daughters, grandchildren, and spouses of our members for the 2024-2025 academic year. With an increasing number of applicants, the selection process was challenging to choose from among such qualified and well-rounded individuals.

Scholarships for AUSN Member Families

The AUSN scholarship program is an AUSN member benefit and is designed to support promising students as they pursue an undergraduate degree or technical school training. AUSN especially encourages applicants interested in Navy or military service and those pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, math, and related fields.

Encouraging young people to pursue interests and careers in the Navy will keep America strong and keep Navy ships afloat and aircraft aloft.

2024 Scholarship Winners from 18 States

This year’s scholarship recipients hailed from 18 states coast to coast, as well as Hawaii and a military base abroad. From nuclear engineering to nursing, each recipient’s major shows the many specialties our modern Navy requires.

With Gratitude to Our Sponsors

AUSN scholarships are sponsored in part by Delta Dental, which helped fund the undergraduate goals of 10 students this year who are seeking nursing, psychology, biomedical engineers, exercise science and other health and medical degrees.

AUSN’s Southwest Region also offered two scholarships to deserving students through its named scholarship program, CAPT Richard W. Hendel Scholarship Award.
