Students Honor Service Members Who Came Before Us

The students, parents and faculty of the Washington Elementary School in Nutley, NJ, honored our military heroes the week of Memorial Day.  “It was an honor to represent the Association of the United States Navy at the Memorial Day tribute to American veterans,” said AUSN Executive Director.

The students held flags of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard and other U.S. military flags. Presentations and music were shared too.

Joining the students, parents and faculty at Washington Elementary School were Nutley, NJ, Police Commissioner Al Petracco; AUSN Executive Director Steven Rogers; and Washington School Principal Douglas Jones.
